Where should I go to adopt a new kitten?

I certainly advocate adopting a kitten from your local shelter. Not only are you helping save a life, you will also save a lot of money. Most shelters provide the kittens with their first set of vaccinations, and many have an arrangement with their local veterinarians to have the kitten spayed or neutered at a discounted professional fee. This can put you several hundred dollars ahead of the ball game. Additionally, most shelters stand behind their pets. If you have a problem they want to know about it and will do their best to make things right, for both you and the pet.
