Recognized
by millions for his appearances on such television shows as Petsburgh,
U.S.A and FX's Emmy Award winning The Pet Department, Dr. Larry
Cohen is one of America's best known practicing veterinarians. In
addition to practicing at Village Animal Center in Larchmont N.Y.,
Dr. Larry also serves as Regional Vice President for Veterinary
Centers of America, the largest group of affiliated veterinary practices
in the country.
A
graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine,
Dr. Larry opened his first private veterinary practice in Scottsdale,
Arizona in 1985. While in Arizona, he created a series of public
service commercials featuring animal care information, and wrote
an emergency medical manual about dogs and cats.
Returning to New York in 1992, Dr. Larry worked with the famed
North Shore Animal League and also served as Director of Veterinary
Relations for the Pet Savers Foundation. He continues to be active
locally, nationally and internationally with the humane movement
and humane societies, helping veterinarians and shelters work together
to reduce pet euthanasia.

Dr. Larry lives in Westchester, New York with his wife, two children,
three cats and a dog.
